House of Cards Guest Post #2

Luck 'o the Irish to ya!  I'm back with another post for my Guest Designer stint at The House of Cards!  Thanks again to Mynn & the crew for inviting me to be a part of the team this month!  I really enjoyed the fun!
The challenge this month is to Add a Button.  I went pretty Classic style with this card & I love how it turned out!  This is kinda whismy but still CAS.  I embossed the swirly lines in White then added a strip of DSP.  Diecut the star & garland then assembled this altogether.  I added another sparkly embossed button b/c I just love the sparkle!

Technique Time Tuesday: Caught in Crystal

I adore "out of the box" techniques!  So much fun to play with!  This month at Technique Time Tuesday, we're playing with the Caught in Crystal Technique.  Mynn has a fantastic video tutorial up for you!

I did mine a little different.  I took some white tissue paper & lightly sponged on some Daffodil Delight to give it kind of a summery background (Summer just can't come soon enough for me!!!).  Then I adhered it to the Window Sheet.  Once dry, I used an Aqua Painter & colored the berries and leaves through the tissue paper on the back side.

Come join us & show us your version of Caught in Crystal!  You just might win a prize!

Supplies: (SU! unless stated)
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black
Stamps: Strawberry Bush by Rubber Stampede
Accessories: Stampendous Stardust Embossing powder, random ribbon, Garden Delight Washi Tape, Shimmer Mist

Have a fab day!

House of Cards Guest Designing

How cool is this?  I'm the Guest Designer over at The House of Cards this month!
I'm so honored Mynnette & the crew asked me! :)

The challenge this month is to Add a Button. I created a Cute style Easter card using the White Wash technique on my eggs.  It's a pretty simple technique - emboss your image in White, use an Aqua Painter or waterbrush to color in the image with white ink.  Let it dry.  Then color over the white with a blender pen and ink.

I think buttons are fun but sometimes they need a little shimmer!  The easiest way for me is to emboss them with a little Stardust Embossing Powder.  Press the button into Versamark then drop it into your powder.  Blast it with a heat gun & let it cool a second.

Come join us at The House of Cards!

SU! Ink: Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay
