A Smashing Week of NEW Products & Promos!

Stampin' Up! has been creating some amazing new deals and products and I am so excited to share them with YOU!  Here are three super smashing promotions!

50% off ALL FABRIC!!! This is until the end of March! I am SO excited about this one!  If you're a sewer, or want to be one, this is the TIME to purchase your fabric! Email me if you're interested in THREE fat quarters (actually larger than a fat quarter) for only $6.50ish!!!! This starts on TODAY until the end of the month!

My Digital Studio has reduced their prices! Stampin' Up!'s vendor has reduced their pricing on the program and downloads so they are sharing these savings with us! The LOADED program (the one with $650 in downloads!!!!) plus the amazing program itself!

THIS AND THAT: This is a VERY fun Smashbook. A Smashbook is like an "old school scrapbook idea" (you know the one maybe your mom did when she kept fun trinkets & special items) combined with a personal journal of YOUR life. I have never kept a daily journal (regularly) but I'm excited about this. This is somewhere I can just keep "stuff" and "thoughts" and I'm excited to see what the end result will be!

CLICK HERE to view the elements you can purchase NOW (including the BEST date stamp and a fun bundle!)!

On our Demonstrator website, I saw this great post on creating your own business card holder.  I decided to create my own for work and a few others for friends.  ;)  I added shimmer mist and some butterflies to the ones I created. :)

2. Trim the DSP Top Note around the perimeter at the perforations. Adhere to cardstock Top Note.
3. Score cardstock Top Note at 2 3/8" using Simply Scored.
4. Score a piece of matching cardstock 2 1/4"x5 1/2".  Short side - 1 1/4", 13/4".  Long side - 1/2", 1", 4 1/2", 5".  Fold all score lines.
5. Cut the cardstock on the short side down 1" on both score lines on either end.  Cut away the center tabs on each side at 1" and the first 1/2" tab on each side.  Below is how it should look when you are done.

Doily Butterflies & a tutorial

Today I was playing around with the pink card below and wanted to add some texture to my butterflies.  I looked at the Doily and then thought why could I make Doily Butterflies?!?!

Super easy to make and they are a great focal point to your card or scrapbook pages.  Sponge one doily.  Run it though your embossing folder twice so you have both a solid and lacy butterfly.  Carefully remove them and use some Two Way Glue to hold them the center together.

See the video below for a quick tutorial.  (It's my first so please forgive the smiley face PJ bottoms! LOL)

Challenges:

Supplies: All Stampin Up!
Ink: Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo
Cardstock: Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Island Indigo
Stamps: Petite Pairs
Accessories: Big Shot, Doilys, Large Pearls, Rhinestones, Two Tags Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Whisper White Organza Ribbon

World Down's Syndrome Day

Today is World Down Syndrome Day.  Personally, I've always known very little about Down's Syndrome but was encouraged to learn more recently (click on the link to learn more).  Our friends OB & Shannon have two gorgeous little girls, Addison & Amelia, and Amelia was born with Down's Syndrome.  Shannon is putting together a book for Amelia and asked her friends & family for pictures of support.

I decided to create a scrapbook page for Addison & Amelia.  The blue & yellow honors the colors of the Down's Syndrome Ribbon and the butterflies symbolize the many qualities that we admire in people with Down Syndrome.  As sisters, they will always love each other & be each other's biggest supporters!

After looking at these cuties, how can you not have a fab day!?

CASE Study Challenge #132

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!  I'm on vacation for the next week!  WOOHOO!  So, I decided to get some crafty time in today.  I have a CAS card for the CASE Study Challenge.  My rhinestones have a little color to them.  I pressed them in some ink then used my heat gun to dry them quickly.

Just how did I get those circles punched out in a line?  I used Simply Scored and lined up my cardstock on the long side.  I placed markers at  1 3/8", 2 3/4", and 4 1/8" then using another piece of cardstock as a guide on the 1 1/4" mark, I placed 3 dots at each of the markers.

Then I punched out my circles.  I started with the 1" circle in the middle with the dot in the center of the circle.  Using the 3/4" punch, I punched the top making sure the dot was centered but in the bottom 1/3 of the circle.  Then I did the same with the bottom circle but made sure the dot was in the top 1/3 of the circle.  If you look closely, you can see the dots below.

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Ink: Island Indigo, Calypso Coral
Stamps: Petite Pairs
Accessories: Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Shimmer Mist, 1" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Rhinestones

Patterned Occasions Notes

Last weekend I used the Patterned Occasions stamp set for the first time at a workshop and I'm lovin' it!  I made the little espresso card on the right with a matching envelope.  It started me thinking that these are the perfect size for little notes: add to lunches for your kids, a little WTG in a briefcase, a love note for someone going on a trip.  The list is endless!  There are 5 stamps in this set and best of all, it's FREE with any $50 purchase through March 22!  That's right, FREE!
Now if you notice the envelope for the card in the middle, is rectangular not square.  After fiddling for a bit, I figured this one out!  :)  I used a 4.5" square piece of DSP.  Using Simply Socred, I scored at 2.75" on two sides and 1.75" on the opposite.  After cutting out the notches, I could make my little rectangular envelope.
Supplies: All Stampin' Up!
Cardstock: Real Red, Elegant Eggplant, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
DSP: Brights Designer Paper Pack, Candlelight Christmas (retired)
Stamps: Patterned Occasions
Ink: Real Red, Pacific Point, Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride (retired)
Accessories: Simply Scored & Diagonal Plate
I hope this gives you some fun ideas for your family & friends! :)
Leave a little note today for someone you love today!!

Won't you join us?  I'd love to see what you create! :)

Simply Scored & News!

Mr. Brown brought me a fantabulous present last night!  Simply Scored, the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, & the new Borders Scoring Plate!  I, of course, being the dedicated stamper I am, decided I MUST use them NOW! ;)

First up, is Wally the Whale (yes, I've named him, haven't you?!?) spreading some joy!  I used the Borders Scoring Plate and created some waves on the bottom of the cardstock.  On my first try, I created 6 waves and thought that was just a bit too much.  So I set that aside and decided on 4 instead.  I fussy cut some clouds out of a panel embossed with Cloudy Day.  The dotted clouds make it super easy to cut out a few to place on your card.

Next up is this Kiss card!  I used the stitching portion of the Borders Scoring Plate and alternated with straight lines.  If I had reversed my order, this could also be a road for the I Dig You stamp set!  I kept this pretty CAS with some Fashionable Hearts and dotted tags.

NEWS:
What have you created lately using Simply Scored?!?!  Join me on my Facebook page & post your a link to your latest creation.  I'll draw a name for a prize!  Deadline is Sunday, March 3.

Stay tuned for Tuesday, March 5 - I'll have a big announcement for you!  I'm so excited!!! :)

Have a fab weekend!
