The Bold & the Butterflies

CAS-ual Fridays has a great challenge this week called The Bold & The Beautiful!  Using black & pastels, create your CAS (Clean & Simple) project.  This is also a perfect fit for the HandStamped Sentiments Technique Challenge of Watercoloring.

Using my Watercolor crayons, I brushed a whole bunch of colors on scrap cardstock, washed over them with a watercolor brush, then ran them through my Big Shot to create these pastel butterflies. They pick up the colors from the flowers inside the sentiment.

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!
Cardstock: Basic Black, Confetti White
Ink: Basic Black
Stamp: Apothecary Art
Accessories: Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Die, Watercolor Brush, White Organza Ribbon, Framelits

The Spectrum

I was craving something different and wanted to use a stamp in a different way that my normal ink it up process.  I started looking at the doily stamp today and thought why not a spectrum of colors?  I picked up my Watercolor Crayons and started coloring away.  A little spritz of water, a little spritz of shimmer, and Voila!

Then I did the same thing using the stamp and the Organza Ribbon!  LOVE it!!!

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!
Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Real Red
Stamps: Apothecary Art, Hello Doily!
Accessories: Watercolor Crayons - Brights, Rhinestones, White Organza Ribbon, Shimmer Mist

Green Love

This card is totally out of the norm for me!  I'm not a pattern mixer by nature but just kinda went all crazy on this one!  ;) Here's a tip for you to add some texture. Emboss a pattern using Versamark & Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder then stamp directly over it. I used this on the flowers.

I used the SUO Challenge #40: It's Fun Being Green and this great sketch below from The Sweet Stop to create my design.

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede
Ink: Marina Mist, Old Olive, Versamark
Stamps: Sprinkled Expressions, For All You Do
Paper: Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Big Shot, Top Note Die, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Brights Brads
