So many great things but so little time!

April 30th is just 3 days away! That's 3 more days to take advantage of the Spring is Blossoming promotion! Spend $20 & be eligible to order two products that won't be available until July 1!

And 3 more days to order from the Occasions Mini! As you know many products in the mini aren't available for purchase anymore once the catalog ends but here's a list of carry over products that you will be able to purchase after April 30. The stamps are a gamble as you never know if they will make it into the Idea Book & Catalog but here's the scoop on accessories & dies.

Have a fab day!

Inspiration for Mother's Day

Ever see a picture that just really calls to you but you really can't explain why? This was the picture for me. I found it very inspiring yet it's sssooo not something I would normally like b/c it's so incredibly busy. It was however, perfect inspiration for my mom & grandma. They both love birds and birdhouses. Here's my interpretation in card form which perfectly fits the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #65 & the SUO Challenge #17. :)

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty In Pink, Basic Black

Paper: Ice Cream Parlor DSP (retired)

Friendship Day

Did you have a fantastic Easter? Ours was pretty good! Some family friends invited us over. Along with some yummy cake balls, I also made them this pretty card to give them as thanks! They are such great friends and my husband has known them most of his life. Today in Australia is ANZAC Day which celebrates the ANZAC spirit. You can read more about it here on the Just Add Ink blog. They are hosting a challenge to celebrate this special day in honor of friendship or mateship.

I embedded my flowers into the Very Vanilla cardstock using the Sqaure Lattice Embossing Folder. The flowers are actually two flowers that I crushed and split in half. HUH?!!? You say?? Becky has been posting all these great flowers that she made using her crimper. You crimp the cardstock like 20 times which breaks up the fibers then you can peel apart the layers. However, I learned the value or non-value of cheap tools today. I bought a crimper at the $$ store a few years back and the handle broke off today in the middle of my crimping. Soooo, I thought to myself, "Why not try the embossing folder instead since essentially it also alters the fibers of the card." It worked perfectly and I only had to run it through three times.

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!

Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla

Ink: Marina Mist

Stamps: So Happy For You (retired)

Accessories: Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Brads, Rhinestones, Bigz Island Flower Die, Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

Have a fab ANZAC Day!

Easter Birds & Basket

Last night while egg decorating, I thought of this cute little woven basket & some "minty" birds. Again, I apologize for the quality of the photos. I'm sssooo missing my camera. :(

Using the new Square Lattice Embossing Folder, I embossed a 5 1/2"x 81/2" Baja Breeze cardstock then sponged with w/Crumb Cake Ink after I cut it into 1/2" strips. I wove my basket and added a handle with silver brads. I love my cute little birdies! In between the two scallop circles are York Peppermint Patties. I know that's not really Easter Candy but my husband likes Yorks! There's also a Chocolate PB Egg in there as well. ;)

Here's the basket by itself. You could also fill this with fresh little flowers too for May Day!

Supplies: All Stampin' Up!

Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze

Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Old Olive

Accessories: Sqaure Lattice Embossing Folder, Scallop Circle Punches - Large & Medium, brads, Rhinestones, Crystal Effects

The Easter Bunny dropped off a special surprise for me today! My nephew, Nicholas William was born at 1220p. He weighed in at 6lbs, 11 oz and perfect as can be! I'll post a picture when I get some.

Happy Easter to you!

Hoppy Easter! MDS

I realized the other day that I had not created any Easter cards nor do I own any Stampin' Up! Easter Stamps! YIKES! Thankfully, My Digital Studio to the rescue!

Here's what they look like printed out. Sorry the picture is just not the best. My camera had to be sent off for a little maintenance due to a lens error. :( The bunny ears were colored in with a little shimmer. :)

Have a fab day!

A Little Hedgy!

I just adore this little Hedgehog from Fast & Fun Notes that I used to make this twisted easel card! He's so cute! Thankfully, there are a lot of critter challenges out there today that he fits perfectly! ;)

Follow the Recipe at Catered Crop: I used the items in bold.

Here's your FTR10 recipe: Pattern Paper – stripes, miniprints Colors – pastels Stamps – go digital, bunnies, butterflies, and flowers Color Mediums – Copic markers, paint, white pens Embellishments – burlap, pinwheels, twine, buttons, eyelets, brads Tools – sewing machine, Cropadile, die cuts Techniques – sewing, distressing Theme – Spring

jac-Inks Sketch Challenge

There's one item I received in my Stampin' Up! Starter Kit that I have never used before today. Any guesses??? The Blender Pen! Crazy me! I love it! I used it today to give Mr. Hedgy's spines some extra ompf, color his face, & give some color to the butterflies. It truly is a great tool and I love how the colors do not blend into each other when you switch out. I also used the Faux Mother of Pearl Technique on the Early Espresso cardstock to give some shimmer. I do apologize about the darkness of the photo.

Supplies:All Stampin' Up! Cardstock: Rose Red, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso Ink: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red Stamps: Fast & Fun Notes, Create-a-Cupcake Accessories: Shimmer Paint, Blender Pen, Shimmer Mist, Ovals Die - Medium & Large used here, Big Shot, Rose Red & Very Vanilla Seam Ribbon Have a fab day!
