Celebrate w/a Drink!

This is my last challenge for VSN! I just won't have time to do the others so I picked a fun one that I haven't tried before now!

We had to create a cup card! I decided to make my cup curvy instead of just straight up and down. :p I made a cute little disco ball and added some pineapple & of course, a cherry to my fruity drink! Bottoms Up!

Cardstock: Recollections
Stamps: See D's Doodlin' Around
Ink: Gold, White, Navy
Accessories: Toothpick, jewel for cherry, foil, glitter, red glitter embossing powder

More from VSN

More fun from Virtual Stamp Night! I'm slowly making my way through all the challenges but these 12 hour shifts are cutting into my crafting fun! :p

AUG10VSNJ: Home of the Brave
Please include at least 1 of each of these on your project (but then after you can add other colors and embellies, too, if you'd like):B is "Blue"R is "Ribbon"A is "Accent" with something sparklyV is "Vellum"E is "Embossing" (heat embossing or by using folders/templates,etc.)

B is "Blue"R is "Ribbon"A is "Accent" with something sparklyV is "Vellum"E is "Embossing" (heat embossing or by using folders/templates,etc.)I used blue cardstock, blue flowery butterfly ribbon & blue grosgrain ribbon, sparkly gems & sparkly lines, vellum sentiment, and a Cuttlebug embossing folder in D'Vine Swirl.
AUG10VSNH - O beautiful...
Use Amber & Purple to make a card and bonus points for adding vellum.
Amber - Hmm.... I wasn't sure on this color so I had to take an actual piece of amber (with the little bugs inside lol) and compare it to my cardstock to find the right color. ;)

The pumpkins were stamped on vellum and embossed with Glitter embossing powder. I added some green floral wire for the vines.

PWCOSS47 Christmas Trio Postcard

I've been making holiday cards all day! I made 21 Christmas cards this morning which puts me way ahead of the game! :p I can definitely add this one to the pile as well. PaperWorks CO has a great sketch challenge that I used for this postcard style card. The Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Team also had a great challenge: Two's Better than One! We had to use one or more stamped images.

I used this cute stamp set from Provo Craft. I have no idea what the name of it is as I found it at a garage sale in a plastic baggie. :) I used 4 of the 5 stamps for this card. I made the envelope out of a paper bag and stamped gingerbread men & snowman all over. I also stamped one additional of each on a piece of white cardstock and punched them out.

When you open the envelope you see a cute Christmas trio wishing you Merry Christmas! I just love the way this turned out! I almost made it into a square card but then I changed it to a postcard since there's an additional card & envelope. :p

Accessories: Watercolor pencils, aquabrush, buttons, ribbon, paper bag, 1 inch circle punch

Ghostly Double Treat Slider

Last night I saw this super cute Double Treat Slider on Creations by Patti. She has some great ideas & her tutorials are very easy to follow. I've had these treat cups for a while so this was perfect! I stamped the ghostly image twice - once on purple and white. Then I cut the white ghost out and popped him up with some foam tape.

Pull the bottom tab and a treat cup appears at the top! Unfortunately, I didn't have any candy b/c we don't normally keep it in the house except around the holidays. Instead I added some popcorn but will replace it with some M&M's or other small candy.

Pull out the side tab and there's a hole in the tab for you to access your treat! :p

OLW17 String of Lights

It's time for the One Layer Wednesday Challenge over at Simplicity by Late Blossom! This week we were to dig out a border stamp and use it as our base image. This String of Lights Stamp is one of the first stamps I purchased when I first started cardmaking but I've rarely used it b/c I couldn't really figure out what to do with it. I'm pretty sure I found a great card that I can easily assembly line for Christmas time! :p
I used a clear stamp for the sentiment and I apologize but I do not know what company it's from. I colored in the lights and added a little sparkle with a glitter pen.

Stamps: String of Lights by Rubber Stampede, Clear stamp sentiment
Ink: Stampin' Up Riding Hood Red, Black Dye Ink

SCIC17 Flowery Butterfly

What a great Inspiration picture from the Stampin' Celebration Blog this week! I just love this color combo! :p

I loved the soft yellow & pink and went pretty clean & simple with this card. The flowers were stamped in various colors and a few were popped up.
I sponged yellow & pink on a piece of white cardstock and punched out a butterfly.

Sweets & Treats

I have been very incognito lately & had very little time to stamp! But today I'm back with the latest Wee Memories Challenge: Sweet Treats with Ribbon which is sponsored by May Arts. It also fulfills the Taylored Expressioned Sketch Challenge. I'm hoping to really dive in tomorrow and get a lot of projects done. Plus Friday & Saturday is Virtual Stamp Night at Splitcoaststampers.com again! WOOHOO! :p

I really need to get started on my Christmas cards and thought this sketch was perfect for some mints! Normally I would use a circle punch but I just love the Stampin' Up Ornament Punch and thought I'd add a little twist. :p

Getting Inky w/It!

Our team, Getting Inky w/It, has completed all our projects for the Paperworks Co Ultimate Summer Challenge! :p I must say we did a fantastic job! LOL Wanna see???

First up was Sally Kendall & the sketch challenge.
I was up next with the Color Combo Challenge of Red, Green, Blue, & Yellow. I created this cute little bag for tea & a square spring card with a removable bookmark using a ChiChiMemories.com digi stamp! Check here for more details!
Christine Hyde was ready for the Inspiration Challenge. She made this fabulous boo-boo kit for her son. He hates wearing shorts because he falls all the time and his knees hurt. He can now carry this in his backpack to daycare. Shorts are a must, it's 34 degrees in the shade right now! Don't you just love useful projects! There are two pockets on the inside. The first pocket has the bandaids (also known as plasters) and the envelope behind it has the antiseptic wipes. The image on the outside is raised on scrap ez-mount leftovers. I just tuck the flap behind the image and the whole thing stays closed.
Wendy Visser had to make her own animal inspired background paper for the Technique Challenge. She started with grungepaper. After embossing it with one of Tim Holtz’ folders, Wendy painted it with the stream paint dabber. Using the sandpaper, she removed the raised areas of the embossing & used the ink applicator tool to add the black soot distress ink onto the raised areas. She used a papertowel with a bit of water to remove the extra distress ink as the paint dabber resists the distress ink. Wendy covered the entire sheet with picket fence distress stickles & heated it to dry. The image is coloured with copics. Super cute, huh?
In a few days, the voting will begin! Be sure to check back for details on how and where to go to vote for Team Getting Inky w/It!

Bring on the purple bling!

My mom totally loves Purple! With her birthday coming up soon, I knew I would need to make a great purpley card for her! :p Off the Wall Craftiness has a this week that fits perfectly. I left out the white so I'm not sure it qualifies and substituted the turquoise for a lighter purple but it's still kinda blue based. ;) Of course, I needed to add a little extra bling & buttons too which qualifies for the Wee Memories Challenge: Buttons, Brads, & Bling. This challenge is sponsored by Oh My Crafts!
Yesterday I found this great Inkadinkado Stamp that I embossed to make it all sparkly! I did the same with the big button. The tiny buttons were inked up with a glitter pen.

Ink: Purple Dye Ink, clear embossing powder

PaperWorks Co Ultimate Summer Challenge!

PaperWorks Co is hosting The Ultimate Summer Challenge! One member from each team of 4 must complete a challenge each day. Yesterday the fabulous Sally Kendall made this great card for the Sketch Challenge. Today, it's my turn for the Color Combo Challenge of Red, Green, Blue, & Yellow. I decided to make a little bag for tea & a square spring card with a removable bookmark. I know I always love to snuggle & read when I don't feel good! ;)

The bookmark is so easy to make! Take a 8 cm square of cardstock, fold two corners in at 4cm and then decorate to your heart's desire! How simple & it fits so neatly on the corner page in the book!
The bag was from a Martha Stewart Template but I altered it a bit b/c I wanted it to be more angled at the top. I printed it out on the backside of my designer paper and then cut it out. After scoring and taping it, I assembled it and added some eyelets and great ribbon. Inside I stuffed some Chamomile & Green Tea bags.
In a few days, you'll have the chance to vote for my team Getting Inky w/It! ;) Stay tuned for Christine & Wendy's creations over the next few days!
