Happy birthday Sarah!

My cute little cousin, Sarah is 5 years old today! I thought the little ballerina below would just love this adorable digi Ballerina Bear!

I can't remember where I downloaded her from so if anyone knows, please let me know, and I'll update the post! I used watercolor pencils and a waterbrush to "paint" the ballerina. I added some shimmer with a Gelly Roll Glitter Pen.

Cardstock: The Paper Studio
Ink: Studio G White Pigment Ink
Stamp: SU! Happy Birthday, Digi Stamp
Accessories: Ribbon, gems, watercolor pencils, waterbrush, Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pen, Scribble paint - white iridescent

A Color Splash Challenge

I've been kinda incognito lately and probably will be in the future as well for a while. My FIL is pretty ill and I've been spending a lot of time helping out my inlaws with doctor appointments. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him so please keep him in your prayers.

I saw a new challenge on Michele Gross's blog today for The Play Date Cafe and thought I would play along, too, as this is a little out of my comfy zone. The rules - Create a black & white card with just a splash of color - Pink, Gold, or Copper. I love the look of black and white cards but I struggle with making them look just right. This card just did not picture well but it's really pretty IRL with the copper sponging on the pumpkins & vines. I also added a little distressing for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge 75: Distress It!

Cardstock: The Paper Studio, Recollections
Ink: Black dye ink, Brillance Cosmic Copper Pigment Ink
Accessories: Black Ribbon, buttons, Copper Pearl-X, hairspray, Cuttlebug Embossing folder in Harvest
Have a fab day!

WMSC13 Get Well Soon!

The Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge team came up with another great sketch challenge this week. Plus Michele Gross had the honor of choosing the colors for the Denami Design Challenge this week: Black, Magenta, & White.
My BF, Dawn just had gall bladder surgery and is still recovering so I thought this cute card would cheer her up. The glittery slivers werecut off a glitter pom-pom ball and glued on the outside edge of the circle. I made the bandaid out of some scrap flowery paper.
Cardstock: The Paper Studio
Stamps: Get Well Soon
Ink: Studio G White Pigment Ink
Accessories: Cuttlebug Embossing Folders - D'Vine Swirl & Swiss Dots, White Sparkle embossing powder, glitter pompom, corner punch

What a fantastic day!

This has been such an amazing day! :) Early this morning I signed my agreement to become a Stampin' Up Demonstrator! :p I'm so excited!!!! I have been wanting to do this for quite some time now, and thanks to my friend Angela, I finally made the leap!
My cousin, Steve is being officially promoted to Fire Chief today which is so awesome!!! He's worked so hard and definitely deserves this! Kudos to Chief Pink! :p
I also received a note from Krystal over at the Stampin' Celebration blog. I made Top 3 for the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge blog for the card below! WOOHOO!!!!!

I hope you're also having a fantastic day as well! What wonderful things have happened to you today?

Have a great day!

WMSC12 & SSC74 Pretty in Pink

I was able to fit one quick post in today. I found a great challenge over at Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge blog & the Stamptacular Sunday team had a challenge up for Pretty in Pink. We could only use pink on our card!
I made a cute hot air balloon flying among the "heart clouds" using designer paper and a scallop circle punch. I glued the backs together and then punched a hole to add string & pearls. Some great flowery ribbon & a few ticket punches for the greeting finished it off. :p

Cardstock: The Paper Studio, random scrap paper
Ink: Studio G Dye Ink in Pink
Stamp: See D's Doodlin' Around, SU! Seeing Spots
Accessories: Ticket Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, ribbon, bridal pearls, glitter embossing powder
