Bee Mine Side Steppn' Fold Card

This is for this week's Technique Challenge TLC257 Side Steppin'.

These past few weeks have been so very busy for us! I'm so glad to just have a day off to relax! =) I recently picked up some new stamps and tools from JandJDesigns and was so ready to play with them this week!

One of my new stamps was this great Bee Trio by Stampendous! Just so adorable! I colored them in with Sharpies. On the wings and hearts I used a Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pen then cut the image out. I embossed some red hearts with glitter embossing powder and cut them out as well.

The yellow background is a technique called Striped Wipe which used reinkers and a baby wipe. I do not have any reinkers though so I found that food coloring works just as well! I then ran the cardstock thru a Cuttlebug Swirls folder and my pasta machine. Voila!

I had a hard time with the letters. I wanted to use chipboard but didn't have all the letters I needed. Then I discovered some long lost sticker letters in gold - not quite the color I was looking for but after tracing over them with a red sharpie and the gelly roll Pen I think they came out great!
The hearts and Bee Trio were attached with foam tape for a little pop.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fab day!

TLC256 Flower Brick Wall

This was created for Technique Challenge Brick Wall. I found this to be a little challenging b/c all of your pieces had to line up perfectly. After creating my brick wall, I added a layered ribbon down the center. I cut out the flowers, layered them and then attached a sparkly brad. I didn't have the exact color of lavender ink that I wanted to use so I used pink pigment ink and purple dye ink to create the color I needed. I then heat embossed the sentiment using sparkle embossing powder.

Scratch & Sniff Flowers

This was made for the Technique Challenge TLC255 and the Sketch Challenge SK011610 sponsored by Pixie Dust Studios at
The flowers were stamped in Stazon Blazing Red, I didn't have any Versamark handy so I used a white pigment ink and heat embossed w/a mixture of clear embossing powder and berry flavored Koolaid.
Have a fab day!

Nemo Birthday Invitation

I realized I've never posted the invitations I made for my nephew, Cody who turned 1 this past December. They are very simple, but oh so cute!
I stamped the 4x5.25" white cardstock in black ink and then ran it through a pasta machine using the Swirls Cuttlebug folder. The blue circle was created using two different punches - 2 7/8" and 1 15/16". I added the sticker and then sponged the blue ink to match the circle inside the circle only. I used a paper towel to wipe off the sticker and then attached the white cardstock to the yellow card base. Voila! I think the blue ink inside the circle really gives a spotlight illusion of looking into the water to see Nemo.
