TLC189 Pizza Box

A Ghostly Treat for someone special!

We had to create a Pizza Box this time around.

I just love this cute ghost stamp set! I inked in purple and heat embossed w/glitter EP. I cut out the image with a scallop punch and then another larger black scallop for the back. I added black and white polka dot ribbon to the back.

The purple cardstock was run though a Cuttlebug Embossing folder and my PASTA MACHINE! I so love this new idea and will put up a tutorial shortly!

I added the brads to each corner and then used dimensionals to place the scallops on the embossed cardstock.

Have a wonderful day!

Daisy Cards

The Daisy was stamped in green twice and heat embossed w/glitter EP. I used watercolor pencils and a brush to color the petals. I cut out one of the daisies and paper pieced it over the whole daisy w/dimensionals. The friend quote is a rub-on and I added two brads on the side.

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment!

TLC138 Treat Sliders

This is such a cute idea for Halloween or Christmas! My co-workers just loved them and were practically attacking me as I made them during some down time!

The witches shoes were a template from Papercraft Magazines. I added the brads for the "laces" and added a little scuff to them w/some Brillance Platinum ink. The orange "sock" is designer paper and the purple is actually just a piece of cardstock w/lines drawn in to create the scrunches.

You can use these for so many things - individual snack packs or popcorn, lotions, tea, coffee, candy, etc. Here's another pic of some Reese's PB Cups.

Have a fabulous day!

TLC177 - Got Grid?

You can find the Grid tutortial here.

This is my first grid card and for my friend Tracie. Her birthday is on Friday. I really love this new technique! I can definitely envision myself using it often! =)

I pondered a bit on how to make the grid since I do not own a Scor-pal. Instead I used my photo cutter and a mechanical pencil. Using the blade runner for a guide, I scored the 1/2 inch lines perfectly! I rubbed a cotton ball covered in pink ink over the grid shadowing the edges a bit darker than the middle. I stacked pink sheer ribbon over caramel ribbon and tied at one end of the grid. I embossed the candle in brown. Tracie just LOVES glitter (not to mention pink and brown together!) so I took some sparkle glaze and dabbed a bit onto the candle which I then covered in this great pink glitter. I used the end of a paintbrush to add the dots the same way. I used a corner rounder on all of the layers and the card itself.I really like the way this turned out!

What do you think?

Have a fabulous day!

TLC187 Mark Your Spot

I just love these! I'm a big reader and when I saw this new technique, I just had to make some!

Here's the link.

All of the bookmarks were made w/cardstock and then accented w/designer paper, some bling, or punches! All of them were also embossed w/the exception of the Ghost card.

What are some of your favorite books?

Have a fabulous day!

This is for the Sweet 'n' Sassy SNSSC03 Challenge. We had to use a specific sketch.

This is for my co-worker Donna. She loves The Amazing Race and actually gets to go to Vancouver to participate in a travel version of AR! How exciting!!!

As you open the insides of the card, the dotted lines lead you to other stickers that say "Flying High to Far Off Places", "Travel Adventure", camera, plane, etc. I hope she likes it!

Thank you for taking the time to look and comment!

Have a fabulous day!

This is for the Sweet 'n Sassy WCMD SNSTC02 Challenge - Paper Piecing!

As I drove home, I started thinking how I could use this new block ladybug stamp I just picked up at a yard sale and some scraps.

I took strips of white and layered them over the black strips. Then used sticker letters to spell out Happy Bugsday. I stamped the ladybugs in black Staz-on, then cut out the bodies and layered them w/dimentionals.

Woohoo! My first post! I'm very excited!
I sssoo wanted to participate in the WCMD challenges but of course, I had to work! So I carved an hour out of my sleep time to make a few cards before hitting the sheets!

My first card is for the Sweet 'n' Sassy Design World Cardmaking Day Challenge SNSEC02. We had to use some bling.

The Christmas Ball and sentiment were stamped in green and then heat embossed w/glitter EP. I added some puffy paint and glitter to the top of the ornament and heated w/my heat gun for the snow. I layered it w/dimensionals and stamped the lights w/Brillance Moonlight White.

Do you like to emboss?
